5 Undeniable Reasons You Need An Air Fryer

In my household, we’ve been using the air fryer for about five years now. My Hubby brought it home because morning sickness just wouldn’t let me be great in the kitchen. Yeah, we cooked food in the garage for the entire nine months I was pregnant. Only recently have people started to find out the goodness of this “healthy kitchen tool” and if you don’t know about the air fryer, well I’m about to enlighten you.

So let’s discuss what an air fryer is…

What Is An Air Fryer?

An air fryer is a countertop appliance that uses hot air to cook your food. There’s a fan up top and a basket at the bottom and that is where you place your food. The air fryer blows heat around the space and crisps up the outer layer of the food. Air moves more quickly in an air fryer than it does in the oven because it’s in a confined space which affects cooking times and evenness. Even though you can make plenty of your favorite fried foods in the air fryer, don’t go overboard...we all know those foods are not the healthiest for us. Your meal making is about to go to a whole NOTHA level because I’m going to make healthier meals simple and easy for you.

As we discussed before, being a mom with a career time is not on your side. If you forgot to take the chicken out of the freezer, chances are you will be having take out that night. With the air fryer, you can place the chicken in there frozen and with the hot air moving quickly in that confined space will cook the whole chicken in 30 minutes or less, depending on the size.

  • More Nourishing-

Trans fats are tough for your body to break down and lead to harmful effects on your health, such as an increased risk for heart disease, obesity and diabetes. Deep fried foods are prepared at very high temperatures in vegetable oil or other contaminated oils which may have trans fats in them to start with. With the air fryer all you need is one teaspoon of olive oil and that’s it.

  • Multifunctional-

I really love this because not only can you fry in the air fryer, but in most of them you can bake, saute, seer, roast and dehydrate. Having the multi functions will allow you to not use the stove or oven on some nights. Now you are able to not only cook your favorite fried foods but other options like roast a steak, or saute some veggies or even bake a cake.

  • The Kiddos Can Use It-

The air fryer is so great that with a touch of a button, even the kiddos can use it. If you’re busy and pressed for time, have them place some of their favorite chicken nuggets, sweet potato fries, and zucchini in the fryer and they have a complete meal.

Ok, I just know you’re going to love this one cause every mom does. Who likes to clean up a big mess after being in the kitchen for a long time? No one! Air fryers are a breeze to clean up. Most of them have about two parts to take out and you can either put it in the dishwasher or wash them by hand. That beats washing a lot of pots and pans.
